Aug 29 7-8 p.m. candidates and parent/mentor {Fellowship Hall following worship} Sept 19 candidates help lead Wednesday worship Sunday Sept. 23 4-5:30 p.m. Topic: Wisdom {Fellowship Hall} Have Mentor identified (turn in name and contact info.) Wed. Oct. 10 candidates help lead Wed. worship Sunday Oct. 14 4-5:30 pm Topic: Knowledge Begin to write faith statements Wed. Nov. 7 candidates help lead Wed Worship Sunday Nov. 11 4-5:30 Topic: Understanding Wed. Dec. 5 Help lead Wed. Worship Sunday Dec. 9 4-5:30 Topic: Counsel/Right Judgment Have parents/mentor there for part or all of session. Work on faith statements together. Wed. Jan. 9 Help lead Wed. Worship Sunday Jan. 13 4-5:30 Topic: Courage Choose a Life Verse Wed. Jan. 30 Help lead Wed. Worship Sunday Feb. 3 4-5:30 Topic: Reverence Choose a Scripture Verse Wed. Feb. 27 Help lead Wed. Worship, Read faith statements after worship Sunday March 3 4-5:30 Topic: Wonder & Awe Before God Recite portions of the small catechism. Give assignment to teams of 2 or 3 to make a video about the Gifts of Holy Spirit and Faith. Wed. April 3, Help lead Wed. Worship Sunday April 7, 4-7 pm Retreat with parents/mentor -- Review the Rite, Play H.S. videos, make a collage about Life Verse, Scripture verse, or Spiritual Gifts Celebration of Confirmation through Affirmation of Baptism on May 5, 2019. Rehearsal to be determined. Other Elements Small Catechism given in Sept. with instruction to be studied at home with parent/mentor. Six Sermon notes completed and turned in by April 24. Guide sheets available in church. Between April 7 and confirmation, have one on one discussion with a Council Member. Save/collect magazines for collage activity. |
